Here at JANDAZ we are dedicated to recording the breeding of cockapoos as being the correct breeding involving only pure (traceable) cocker spaniels and pure (traceable) poodles to create the cockapoo and true cockapoo to cockapoo for generational breeding.will also be able to provide the scientific and genetic basis needed to declare the cockapoo a true breed, up from a hybrid cross. Cockapoos have been bred since at least the 1950's as an ideal companion pet and family dog. Here at jandaz we produce successive generations and to keep detailed breeding records that will be able to stand the scrutiny if required for upcoming registry. English or American Cockers are acceptable as dams or sires . The hybrid vigor resulting from crossing these two popular breeds creates a dog that exhibits not only the "best of both" breeds but produces a better family pet than in either parent breed. The Cockapoo has become known and in demand for its wonderful disposition, high intelligence and curiosity, devoted loyalty, as well as for the hypoallergenic characteristics of little to no dander, shedding or odor.
PLEASE NOTE
A true cockapoo is ONLY a purposeful, planned crossing of a purebred cocker spaniel with a purebred poodle. Without a traceable background anything cute and fuzzy could be (and has been) passed off as a "cockapoo" by unscrupulous people. You also find professional breeders operating small structures with maximum two different breeds, where 'professional' stands for dedication, funds, planning, organization. Professional breeders have the structure, time and network to do correctly what many 'backyard breeders' or occasional hobby breeders are not able to do. A good breeding program needs good planning ability, a solid network, and financial sustainability (for example, being able to feed and care for the puppies for as long as they are not sold), All puppies are sold on the understanding that they will be returned to us if they ever need to be rehomed, whatever the reason & age.

The delightful fun loving cockapoo is intelligent and clever beyond belief!The personality of the cockapoo spoodle is unparalleld in its affection for people. Cockapoos are loyal open and friendly. They are most receptive to young people and highly regarded for being extremly tolerant of children's clumsy handling.They are eager to please and there fore easy to train. Health wise they can hardly be beat as they remain vigorous and healthy and active for most of there years some dogs live to be 15 to 22 yrs of age.

Jandaz has been so impressed with hearing dogs for deaf people, my first encounter with them was at Crufts 2007. I thought I would just love one of my "cockapoos" to contribute to an essential part of the dog world so I now have two cockapoos in training with the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People (http://www.hearing-dogs.org.uk) "Gerry " & "Rodney". I will let you no if they pass or fail. I have had a letter from Hearing Dogs - the boys are doing well have been sent to their socializers. I had an email from Chris and Tim who have Rodney they say he is a lovely boy and the grand children love him ! Will keep you informed ... Rodney and Gerry are now in "proper training" in the real world - so proud ....! CONFIRMATION this week Rodney passed and is now with his new Deaf owner GERRY soon !!! Gerry has passed and is now in a home with his new elderly owner cheers!!
People ask me why I do not have visitors to view my puppies before they are vaccinated it is because ?? of the deadly disease PARVO VIRUS it can be bought in to any home via shoes hands clothing and live in a home or building for up to 12 months it is that DANGEROUS so if you have unexpectedly been to a premises that has or had PARVO my puppies are at risk from you with out both of us knowing it ! hope you understand ... N.B. ONE VACCINATION IS NOT ENOUGH I GIVE 2 PARVOS AND 1 FIRST PART OF FULL COURSE I REALLY CARE !!!!PLUS NOBIVAC KENNEL COUGH WHICH HAS SUDDENLY BECOME RAMPANT IN THE UK..
I have decided to advance my breeding program with a determined effort to produce 2nd generation and hopefully 3rd generation cockapoos it is true as "other" UK breeders point out you must only breed from the best of the 2nd generation as some may resemble poodles and others cockers. I find it amusing that these breeders have never gone further than 1st generation and yet can comment on what others do who are trying to take the breed a stage forward, Janice.

A Puppy Farmer generally, cares little about the temperament of the puppies subsequently born.
A Puppy Farmer generally, cannot, or will not, let you see the parents of the puppy offered for sale.
A Puppy Farmer generally, will take, or put the puppies away from their mother, well before they are mature enough to be taken.
A Puppy Farmer generally, will not let you see how the animals are bred, or the conditions in which the puppies live.
A Puppy Farmer generally, will be very happy to take your money,

A PUPPIES PRAYER
Now I lay me down to sleep
The king-size bed is soft and deep
I sleep right in the center groove
My human being can hardly move!
I' ve trapped her legs, she's tucked
in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and "I want
food!"
I sneak up slowly to begin
My nibbles on my human's chin.
She wakes up quickly,
